AuthImage Hacking

After tinkering with AuthImage for a while I am now fairly satisfied with the result:

  • I’ve removed dependecy on the my-hacks.php file.
  • Random fonts are chosen from a directory for display.
  • A few changes have been made to the format of the security image also.
  • Made it so minimal changes are needed to install the plugin.

Why all these changes to make it more self contained? So it’s less work for when I have to upgrade to the next version of Wordpress.

I also now know a little bit more about image manipulation using GD, which is a bonus.
